Wow, had a great night into morning, running around boning and drinking with nothing to eat.  Hmm... I guess I should rephrase that!  I meant that I was at a Session with John Murray, Sean, the gang from the Law at the Heritage last night on McClean Ave playing the bones and drinking with the buds.  Yah!
Yesterday was a day of no eating, being Spidey in CT (crazy mothers love me in that Spidey costume, and here I mean the mothers of the children!!), changing outside a now defunct bar in New Milford (crazy mothers loved that too, and here I don't mean mothers of the children), driving up with John Murray, having rehearsal, and going to the session.  It was a good day, minus the hangover and the $55 parking ticket on my car when Sean drove me back today!  But the dancing on the bar, and the drinks, and the fine people who allowed me to share their playing circle (for the 2 seconds that I actually sat and was not dancing around-- and thank you to my dancing partner on the bar).  Hey... hello to Liz from FUV.  Good seeing you again.
Anyway, it has been a long day of missed meetings (sorry Andrew and Laura), hangovers, and nakedness as I sit and try to focus on writing on the computer.  It was great to catch breakfast on the way back into town with my adopted mother Leslie, TB and Jonathan.
Hey, getting a lot of responses for the Ruffians panties.  I have had three people so far tell me that if they get them, will I take them... well I guess that doesn't need to be said!!
So what else is going on here?  Had some great conversations with some friends today.  Friends mean so much to me.  I'm glad that I bring something positive to your lives, you all do so much for me.  Hey, did I tell you, I got an invitation and acceptance into the 2005 Who's who in America.  That was a nice honor, thanks to whoever recommended me!
Hey, people have been writing to Sean about building me a website (no name Ms. H), but they haven't contacted me.  The answer is yes, contact me!
So what else?  Neal's party is coming up in CT next week.  All are invited and should probably try to come.  If I know Neal, it's gonna be great!   I need an extra Joe Strummer shirt from when we played at the Knitting Factory awhile ago for the benefit.  Does anyone out there have one?  It's kind of important.  Oh, I was supposed to give my Ruffian's shirt away last night.  Sorry about that, I'll get ya on the flip side.
New jobs, a new puppy, new traveling plans I'm hearing about from you guys!  That's great!   Please feel free to write to me.  Those who are, I love hearing from you.  Teri, Karin, Laura, Amanda, Mel, Courtney, Chris, Bill W, Mike, Larry, the Law, Monica, John, Sean H, Mauriel, and all the others.   It's hard to remember.  YOu've all become such important friends in my life, that I forget who I've met from here and who I've always known.
Happy Birthday going out to Messer this week, and to Andrew K, Tammy Marquis, Aunt Kay, cuz Mel, Uncle Pat, Mollie McDonough in Buffalo, Becky, and Dan Pichard.
So write back, send pix, update me on your lives, and eat before you drink (at least at some point during the day).
Say hi to J too, he's the most unsung hero of this whole bunch.  Also Mattie, if you're out there.... come home, I miss you!!!

speak with you all soon, hopefully a little more coherently!!

Shite, I've slept through the beginning of the month. Oh, no, wait... I've been running so much that I never realized that the last month ended yet. Anyhoo, that means that I've missed Isabella and Troy's birthdays. Have a happy one guys.
Well we were just back over to Bowery St. Not CB's this time, but did a benefit over at the Bowery Poetry Cafe. It was cool, and we got some great responses, heard some great poems, got to see Chris and Rachel, and made some new friends (all though I've forgotten all the names due to no sleep, no eating, and lots of drinking that night). Sorry gang, you're in my mind's eye and we're tipping one back. Lot's of love to Heather and Laurie for visiting and thanks for the help getting home!!
Oh, special welcome back to the area to Scott and Jennifer too, and thank you too Nile. Thank you to the people who supported the Soldier's Prayer shirts, we owe them that gang. Bill, I hope that the benefit went well for you.
So yes, that's what's been happening. Lots of running around trying to sell these shirts. Lots of people really loving them so far. A Huge big thanks to J for totally saving me on the website, by the way.
How's everyone's summers going now that the 4th is over. It's so hot down in the Shore that I have become a hermit. I sit in the house all day, writing, practicing bass, playing with the hermit crab and getting ticked off at my computer. Oh, did I mention that I"m usually naked. Sorry, I need an air conditioner!!
Anyway, lack of sleep has truly taken me to a different place today, but while I started off fun and energetic, sadly it's now gone. I'm afraid that I am going to have to go to sleep for the first time in two days. Hey, a lot of you have been writing and wondering how to contact me. It's really easy. It's dan@ruffiansband.com
dan@ruffiansband.com
so don't be afraid to send me an email, a picture, invite me for coffee, tell me your wacky stories. I have spent a long time in contact with a bunch of you, and am way behind on spending more time with others. Sorry Angel, Court, and Amanda.
To all my Brazillian friends, I'll let you know how the Brazillian Film festival went. Sorry you're back home. To the West Point crew, I think I should be up there soon, let's hit South Gate. Hailey, write me...
Mike, we miss you in Hartford. Fanmail is flying off the hook from there. Let's really make the second half of the summer nuts. Party in the Shore gang, drop by and visit. Time for a quick shot and off to bed.
I have to say that it's great not having to decide what to wear tomorrow. Hope the coffee grinds hold up.
love-
Dan
